Day Programs

The Community Programs at Abbotsford include two specialized day programs – one for the physically frail who are no longer able to get out on their own – The Luncheon Club and one for people in the early to middle stages of Alzheimer’s Disease – The Day Away Program.

Both programs include transportation on The Glebe Centre Van (The Lady Mary), a nutritious meal and enjoyable, appropriate activities, which respect individuals’ interests and abilities.

The Luncheon Club

This program operates on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Often members of this club enjoy outings in the community which may include grocery shopping, picnics, visiting local museums or everybody’s favourite – trips to the Casino!!

Members of this group are at risk of becoming socially isolated due to the challenges they face in accessing public transportation.  This is a lively, friendly group who always welcome new members.
