This session will provide an overview of dementia. Strategies needed for visiting someone who has dementia. Providing support for frontline caregivers including staff. There will be an opportunity for questions.
Facilitator: Bonnie Daros RN, BScN, GNC. Bonnie is a Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant with the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. Bonnie provides education, consultation, and support to individuals involved with Long-Term Care. With over 20 years’ experience in the area of dementia has helped Bonnie acquire an in-depth understanding of dementia and a commitment to promoting person-centered care and best practice.
