The Glebe Centre has been the cornerstone of care for older residents of the Glebe and surrounding Ottawa area for over 130 years.
With roots stretching back to 1886, the Glebe Centre continues to serve seniors through the provision of long term care and community support programs and services. The community programs and support services at Abbotsford House offer specific activities and services for well seniors, seniors with dementia and related disorders, and those who are physically frail. Special features include a Day Away program and a Frail Elderly program. The long term care programs and services assist those who are chronically ill and/or cognitively impaired including specialized Dementia, Chinese, and Culturally Deaf care units, therapeutic recreation opportunities, and a unique Resident art program.
