Emergency Procedures

This plan outlines the procedures to be followed in the event of a specific emergency situation that may occur within the Glebe Centre Incorporated. The Fire Safety Plan identifies response responsibility and action specific to a fire on the premise. All other identified emergencies shall be identified by a specific Code.

The Glebe Centre strives to meet the needs of its employees and customers with disabilities and is working hard to remove and prevent barriers to accessibility.

Our organization is committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. This accessibility plan outlines the steps The Glebe Centre is taking to meet those requirements and to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.

Our plan shows how The Glebe Centre will play its role in making Ontario an accessible province for all Ontarians.

Feedback about accessibility

The Glebe Centre Inc. welcomes feedback about the delivery of services to persons with disabilities. Such feedback may be made verbally (in person or by telephone), in writing (email, letter or putting a note in our suggestion box located in the front entrance of the home), or other more accessible means as requested.  

Feedback received will be followed up in accordance with the “Concerns & Complaints” policy.

The Glebe Centre Inc. is happy to share its Accessibility policy and Multi-Year Accessibility Plan which outline the practices that will be followed by The Glebe Centre Inc. to meet its obligations under the AODA.

Access to information in accessible format 

The Glebe Centre Inc. will make reasonable efforts to provide information about our organization and its services, including public safety information, in accessible formats or with communication supports in a timely manner, considering the person’s accessibility needs due to disability. 

The Glebe Centre Inc. will consult with the person making the request in determining the suitability of an accessible format or communication support. If it is determined that information or communications are unconvertible, we will provide the requestor with:

  • an explanation as to why the information or communications are unconvertible; and
  • a summary of the unconvertible information or communications.
