An increasing number of donors are choosing to make a stronger impact by giving regularly every month.
Facts about monthly giving:
- Monthly giving allows The Glebe Centre to plan to use the gifts throughout the year.
- Monthly giving is convenient. It is quick to set up, can be changed easily, and is easier to budget for than a single, yearly donation.
- You will receive one consolidated tax receipt for all monthly donations at the beginning of the year.

A planned gift is most commonly a deferred gift or a future gift that has no impact on your current income.
Leave a Legacy Gift
More and more people whose lives have been touched in some special way by The Glebe Centre’s long term care services or our community services at Abbotsford are choosing The Glebe Centre as a beneficiary in their will. They know that their bequests greatly enhance our century old traditions of innovation and excellence in care. They also have the immediate satisfaction of knowing that their planned gift to The Glebe Centre will serve as a lasting testimony to their heartfelt generosity.
In leaving a gift to The Glebe Centre in your will, you can designate a specific amount, a percentage share of your estate, or the residue of your estate.
Making a bequest is a personal decision, and should be made with the wishes of yourself and your family in mind, and with the assistance of a layer or financial advisor.

Gifts of Life Insurance
Life insurance gifts are within the financial means of most people and are often chosen because a relatively small, tax-deductible premium can provide a substantial gift to us. Also, by donating a fully paid policy that has a cash-surrender value, you may be entitled to a substantial tax receipt now.
Gifts of Stocks and Securities
Donating gifts of stocks or securities are wonderful ways to help The Glebe Centre provide excellence in care. The total value of the stock upon transfer will receive a tax receipt.

The Glebe Centre Endowment Fund
This fund has been built up by some generous people who have chosen to designate their planned gift to us because of their strong belief in the work of The Glebe Centre. The money in the fund is invested permanently for the long‑term benefit of our Centre. Part of the annual return is re‑invested and part is available to spend on The Glebe Centre programs. As the fund grows, it will add to the financial health of The Glebe Centre.
United Way
Set up donations through payroll at your place of work to donate to The Glebe Centre through the United Way.
Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Memorial gifts are wonderful way to honor the life of someone special. Family members, in appreciation of the care received by their loved one, frequently name The Glebe Centre as their charity-of-choice when their loved one passes. Memorial cards are available at The Glebe Centre, as well as many funeral homes.
Tribute gifts enable you to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or special occasion. Often the honoree makes the request in lieu of gifts from friends and family.
